Five Pratt & Whitney Teams Participate in JDRF Walk at Rentschler

Five Pratt & Whitney teams participated in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at East Hartford’s Rentschler Field, which raised money to fund critical Type 1 Diabetes research. Cameron Lopez, the son of Pratt & Whitney employee Victor Lopez and wife Diane, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in February 2013 at the age of four. As the inspiration for the team, Pratt & Whitney Powering the Cure — Cam’s Rocking Walkers, as seen in the photo, the Lopez’s and their supporters raised close to $3,000 in support of JDRF. Cameron and his father Victor Lopez are pictured far right.
