Fitch Ratings has upgraded its issuer default ratings for three Eversource electric subsidiaries, citing growing strength from transmission investments, lower generation risks and expenses, and other factors.
The new rating shared by the Connecticut Light & Power Co., Public Service Co. of New Hampshire and Western Massachusetts Electric Co. is “A-,” up from “BBB+.”
Fitch also affirmed its long-term ratings of Eversource and its other subsidiaries, and revised the parent company’s outlook upward, from “stable” to “positive.”
