First County Bank sells former Stamford branch building for $1.5M

First County Bank has sold a building that formerly housed one of its Stamford branches for $1.5 million, according to the city’s property transfers.

Keeper II Stamford LLC, controlled by Keeper Bay Fund II LP, bought the building from the bank, which closed the branch, at 275 Hope St., in March 2024. 

Stamford-based First County Bank bought the two-story, 4,189-square-foot building in 1996 and opened the full-service branch there that same year. 

The building is appraised at $2.56 million and assessed at $1.79 million, property records show.

The bank still has six Stamford locations at 1110 Hope St., 2950 Summer St., 117 Prospect St., 1042 High Ridge Road, 1980 W. Main St., and 637 Shippan Ave., according to its website.

It has seven other branches at 1312 Post Road, Fairfield; 59 Main St., Greenwich; 95 Park St., New Canaan; 1006 Post Road, Darien; 1135 Post Road E., Westport; and 660 Main Ave.; and 700 Connecticut Ave., Norwalk.
