“FIA is always looking for ways to engage, educate and please its employees,” says Sarah Wolfe, a marketing associate. “We wear jeans on Fridays, have team lunches to celebrate new clients and can come up with any reason for a party, but every day, with every client, we pay attention to details and strive to do our best. We’re proud of our work-hard, play-hard attitude.ˆ
To engage its employees, the company encourages them to volunteer. Employees are involved with United Way’s Day of Caring, donate every month to Hartford’s newest food pantry, Freshplace, and are planning a “Polar Plunge” to benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Employee comfort and happiness are also top priorities. FIA recently expanded its office space and implemented extended ‘summer hours.’ “Employees have been very happy with this perk,” Wolfe says.
