Feds: FedEx drivers can vote on union

A group of FedEx home delivery drivers in Windsor will vote whether to join the teamsters union, after the National Labor Relations Board ruled they are employees and not contractors. Teamsters Local 671 in Hartford has petitioned the board – which oversees union elections – to hold an election. FedEx has fallen under increased scrutiny around New England, after the NLRB issued a complaint of unfair labor practices at its delivery terminal in Northborough, Mass. An election date has not been set.
