FedEx Delivers

The FedEx ramp managers from Bradley International Airport really delivered for the Greater Hartford Salvation Army. Its Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) canteen or “mobile food truck” was listed as a United Way — Day of Caring Project. The truck was in need of a complete cleaning, both inside and out after responding to many emergency calls in the Greater Hartford area. The FedEx employees selected the task and came ready to clean. Jim Gordon, director of public relations and marketing for the Southern New England Division of the Salvation Army said, “We could not complete our mission without volunteers, and we are extremely grateful to FedEx, the United Way and all|our volunteers.” Pictured, from left, are: Mark Lee, Brian Lienert, Rob McKiernan, Salvation Army Major Douglas Hart, Mike Williams, John O’Donovan and Mike Tenney.
