The University of Connecticut’s newest president and the head of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston will headline the 2012 Economic Summit and Outlook on Jan. 6 in Hartford.
Eric Rosengren, the president and chief executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, will discuss the economic and financial outlook for the U.S. economy next year.
UConn President Susan Herbst, who started her job in June, will discuss the university’s role in Connecticut’s economic development.
The event put on by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association and the MetroHartford Alliance will run from 8:15 a.m. to noon Jan. 6 at the Hartford Marriot Downtown.
Other speakers include Ben Barnes, the secretary of the Connecticut Office of Policy & Management; Webster Bank economist Nicholas Perna; and State Rep. Craig Miner (R-Litchfield), the ranking member of the General Assembly’s Appropriations Committee.
