Fast-growing last-mile carrier UniUni Logistics Inc. recently began leasing 43,104 square feet of industrial space in Meriden, marking another expansion step for the fast-growing logistics company.
The Canadian-based firm, which launched in 2019, is taking space in a two-building, 119,775-square-foot industrial complex at 45 Gracey Ave. The property is owned by a limited liability company whose principal is Brooklyn, New York-based real estate investor Cheskel Brach.
Brach’s LLC acquired the 8-acre property and its 1953-vintage industrial buildings for $6.13 million in 2023, according to city assessor records.
According to its website, UniUni is a last-mile delivery company that provides logistics and package delivery services to e-commerce retailers, online sellers and consumer brands.
The company launched in Vancouver in 2019, initially reaching about 1,000 local deliveries per day, according to its website. By 2024, UniUni reported having 50,000 contracted drivers, more than 600 employees and roughly 600,000 deliveries daily across North America.
Mark Berkowitz of O,R&L Commercial represented the landlord, 45 Gracey LLC, in the deal. UniUni was represented by Damon Bowers of Cushman & Wakefield.
