Farm’ton’s Turbine Tech. passes torch to next generation

The owner of engine component maker and repairer Turbine Technologies Inc. has sold his interest in the company to his son, the company announced.

Robert E. Burke Jr., who started Turbine in 1986 after purchasing a Kensington company, has passed the CEO role onto his son, Tyler J. Burke.

The younger Burke started working at the company in 1992 in the facilities and maintenance department, working his way up to president in April of this year. He’s a U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and is a member of the Vermont National Guard.

Since April, Tyler Burke has built a new management team at Turbine, which manufactures and repairs aircraft and industrial gas turbine engine components and provides various machining services.
