Farm’ton’s Horizon Tech floats $5M to Decisyon

Farmington specialty lender Horizon Technology Finance Corp. staked a $5 million venture loan to expand Decisyon Inc., an Italian software maker with Stamford headquarters.

Decisyon Inc. provides so-called collaborative enterprise software solutions to some of the 1,000 biggest companies on the planet, Horizon says. Such software enables companies to seamlessly integrate their analysis, planning and execution functions.

Decisyon CEO Thomas Cowan said the loan will aid his company’s U.S. expansion and sales.

Last October, MassHighTech.com reported Decisyon raised $9.5 million out of a $14.5 million offering from investors that included Cowan, and Connecticut investors Erik Jansen, managing member of SENJA Holdings LLC and William Laverack Jr., head of Paumanok Partners LLC, both based in Greenwich.
