Farmington’s Diameter Health sees Indiana work expand

Farmington health tech company Diameter Health says an Indiana-based health information network will use its data collection platform to improve clinical research and health reporting.

After a recently successful pilot, Diameter Health announced Wednesday that the Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE) will continue using its various data exchange applications to better link  data among payers, providers and other constituents. Diameter said its platform  helps reduce unnecessary tests and chart reviews.

The companies said the pilot increased IHIE’s clinical results for medications and vaccines from covering 10 percent of members to more than 90 percent of its network.

“With deployment, we expect to realize continued measurable improvements in the accuracy and completeness of the information we manage and distribute,” IHIE CEO and President John Kansky said. “With Diameter Health, we’re able to give hospitals, payers, and other members of the network a more holistic view of the patient for more efficient care and better outcomes.”

IHIE has more than 14,000 healthcare providers that serve 14 million in Indiana and neighboring states including Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and Michigan.
