Farmington software maker raises $18.3M

Farmington’s EVariant, which makes marketing analytics software for hospitals, said it has raised $18.3 million in a Series B financing.

The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, which will seat partner Chris Schaepe on EVariant’s board of directors as a result. Salesforce.com and Health Enterprise Partners also participated. The latter led EVariant’s $5.3 million Series A round in 2011.

Lightspeed was drawn to EVariant by the way its software helps healthcare providers turn clinical data into marketing and strategic insights, Schaepe said in a statement.

“By integrating the management of patient and physician relationships, execution of marketing campaigns and analysis of costs and quality of services delivered; Evariant customers gain a distinct advantage in this increasingly competitive healthcare market,” Schaepe said.
