Farmington manufacturer Mott Corp. inks $10M deal to supply Mexican powerplant

Farmington manufacturer Mott Corp., which makes engineered filtration and flow control products, inked a $10 million contract to produce and supply gas and liquid filtration systems to a power plant in Mexico.

Mott’s contract to make these systems for the PEMEX Dos Bocas Refinery Plant in Tabasco, Mexico, will support 200 manufacturing jobs at the company’s two Farmington facilities on Spring Lane, where most of the work will be performed, according to Boris Levin, CEO of Mott Corp.

Mott is slated to start work on the contract immediately, with a targeted completion date of 2022.

Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz assisted in making the contract happen by bringing stakeholders together, including Connecticut’s branch of the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the Office of the Mexican Consul General, according to Bysiewicz’ office.
