Farmington investment adviser growing through acquisition

Investment advising firm Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM) has acquired Conry Asset Management, based in Berlin.

The father and son team behind the firm, Brendan Conry Sr. and Brendan Conry Jr., will both join the CTWM team.

Conry Asset Management was established by the family in 1992. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kevin Leahy, president and CEO of Farmington-based CTWM, said that Conry’s “combined experience, strengthens our commitment to delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to our clients.”

The firm also said that the acquisition reflects its ongoing growth plans.

CTWN has also recently partnered with the University of Connecticut School of Business to launch the school’s first wealth management cohort.

The firm made a $75,000 contribution to supporting an experiential learning program for students.
