Farmington contractor KBE Building Corp. has begun construction on its phase of a 2.8 million square-foot, mixed-use waterfront development in Bridgeport.
KBE’s portion of the Steelepointe Harbor development will include relocating the Men of Vision & Excellence Yacht Club to 2,503 square-foot facility that KBE completed in September for $783,000.
Another KBE section includes moving seafood wholesaler Hillard Bloom Shellfish to a 2,120 square-foot facility in a $2 million, five-month project that started in October.
The entire Steelpointe Harbor development is a public-private partnership with the city of Bridgeport and a developer to create retail, commercial, hotel, marina, and residential space on the waterfront.
