A Farmington-based healthcare media company has purchased a medical publisher headquartered in Huntington, New York that specializes in oncology.
BroadcastMed, which provides physicians and other healthcare professionals access to educational content, announced its purchase of Harborside on Oct. 4.Â
The acquisition expands BroadcastMed’s reach to more than 2.8 million healthcare professionals across 16 adult specialties and 10 pediatric specialties.
“Acquiring Harborside allows BroadcastMed to take another strategic step forward in growing a multi-channel resource to serve all healthcare audiences,” said Peter Gailey, president of BroadcastMed.
Harborside has partnerships with multiple organizations and provides print and digital advertising services for the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s print and digital newspaper, The ASCO Post, along with the Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology and Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. In January, Harborside expanded to the field of dentistry, beginning a partnership with the American Dental Association.
