Farmington building sold for $1.28 million

CORRECTION: Marcus Communications paid $710,000 for its industrial building on 4.5 acres at 33 Mitchell Drive in Manchester.

A Farmington landlord has paid $1.28 million for a New Britain Avenue building whose first tenant will include a commercial laundry service.

JHB Holdings LP of Radnor, Pa., bought the 40,680-square-foot structure on three acres at 1838 New Britain Ave. from Stanley Realty Co.

Image First Health Care Laundry Specialists is leasing 21,000 square feet of the building for its operations, authorities said.

Matthews Commercial Properties represented JHB Holdings in the deal.

William Raveis Real Estate represented the seller.

Hartford tower marketed

Vacant downtown Hartford office tower 200 Constitution Plaza is up for sale or lease, authorities say.

CBRE/New England is overseeing marketing of the 135,000-square-foot former Travelers Education Center building.

Asking price for the property, which recently underwent foreclosure, was not disclosed.

The owner is 200 Constitution Plaza REO LLC.

AmWINS’ Hartford renewal

Wholesale insurance broker AmWINS Brokerage of New England has signed a new lease at 308 Farmington Ave. in Hartford for about 14,500 square feet.

AmWINS employs about 35 people in the branch.

Jones Lang LaSalle represented AmWINS in this lease with landlord ProPark Group LLC.

Wallingford lease

Allied Building Products Corp. has leased 86,036 square feet at 780 North Colony Road in Wallingford.

CBRE’s New England and Atlanta offices represented Allied in the transaction.

Sentry Commercial Real Estate Services represented the landlord, Slomkowski Family Realty LLC.

$375K S. Windsor sale

VCRV LLC paid $375,000 for a pair of buildings totaling 38,700 square feet at 78 Edwin Road in South Windsor.

Illinois Tool Works Inc. was the seller.Sentry Commercial was the sole broker.

E. Windsor lease

Connecticut Valley Rubber Inc. renewed its lease for 13,000 square feet of industrial and office space at 18 Thompson Road in East Windsor.

CVR makes and distributes hydraulic and pneumatic products, conveyor belts, air tools, hose accessories, and ducting.

The landlord, Faldu Interiors LLC, bought the property in 2007. 

Sentry Commercial was the sole broker.

New London space

General Physics Corp. leased 2,902 square feet at 400 Bayonet St. in New London to house its training services operations.

Bayonet Street LLC is landlord.

Colliers International represented General Physics in the lease. 

Marcus Comm home

Marcus Communications has acquired a 33,989-square-foot industrial building on 4.5 acres at 33 Mitchell Drive in Manchester.

Mitchell Drive LLC paid $710,000 for the property that will serve as the future home for the wireless product and services company currently housed on New State Road in Manchester.

Great Way Inc. was the seller.

Sentry Commercial was the sole broker in this transaction.

Cort’s Wallingford space

Furniture rental company Cort Business Services Corp. leased 12,750 square feet of warehouse space at 4 Northrop Industrial Park Road in Wallingford for its regional warehouse and distribution.

The landlord is 1070 North Farm Road, LLC.

Sentry Commercial and UGL Services represented Cort Business Services in the lease.

RiteWay’s Branford lease

RiteWay Crack Repair LLC leased 1,200 square feet of industrial space at 4 Sycamore Way in Branford.

RCR Enterprises LLC is landlord.

H. Pearce Co. Realtors represented both parties in the lease.

Stanley Steemer’s quarters

Stanley Steemer International has taken 10,500 square feet of office and warehouse space at 1480 Stratford Ave. in Stratford for its first Fairfield County branch.

Angel Commercial was active in the lease involving an unidentified landlord.
