Farmington-based employee benefits agency acquired

Farmington-based employee benefits agency Andrews Benefits is under new ownership.

In a statement released Tuesday, The Hilb Group, a property, casualty, and employee benefits insurance brokerage firm headquartered in Virginia, announced it acquired Andrews Benefits on Feb. 15.

A purchase price was not disclosed.

As part of the acquisition, co-owners Christine and Peter Andrews and their team will join Hilb’s New England region, Hilb officials said.

“Through THG, we will be able to collaborate on benefits opportunities and provide more robust service offerings to our clients,” Christine Andrews said.

Hilb is a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, a multinational private equity firm based in Washington, D.C.
