Farmington Bank is offering free document-shredding to the public at several of its Hartford area branches for five days in October and November.
Its “Shred Days,’’ from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., aim to help shield the public from the growing threat of identity theft, Farmington Bank Chairman and CEO John J. Patrick Jr. said.
The shredding dates and locations:
• Oct. 18 at the Berlin branch, located at 1191 Farmington Ave
• Oct. 25 at the Avon West branch, located at 427 West Avon Road, Rte. 167
• Oct. 25 at the Elmwood branch, located at 176 Newington Road, West Hartford
• Nov. 1 at the main branch, located at 32 Main Street, Farmington
• Nov. 1 at the Burlington branch, located at 253 Spielman Highway, Rte. 4
