Farmington Bank parent First Connecticut Bancorp Inc. has been added to the American Bankers Association Nasdaq Community Bank Index.
It is a broad stock index for more than 420 community banks with more than $116 billion in market capitalization.
Farmington Bank went public last summer. Chairman and CEO John J. Patrick Jr. said inclusion raises the bank’s visibility among investors and depositors.
