A Trumbull-based technology company which helps people age in place has announced a new partnership which will allow it to launch an iPhone and Android-based medical alert system in Australia.
FallCall Solutions’ new partnership is with the Australia-based HSC Technology Group.
FallCall Solutions LLC was founded in 2015 by physicians who had treated several patients injured in falls. The company’s goal is to help older adults live independent and active lives.
Through the new partnership, Bluetooth medical alert devices and HSC’s Talius Smart Care System are integrated with the FallCall application on an individual’s phone.
When a fall is detected, HSC will be able to connect with 24-hour response partners in Australia to assess the situation and if needed, send help.
FallCall will launch on the Talius Platform in Australia this month on iOS, and in February, on Android. FallCall can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Graham Russell, managing director with HSC Technology Group, said the company has seen increased market demand for a mobile emergency response solution.
“After an extensive global search, we are very excited to be working with the FallCall team,” Russell said.
FallCall launched its technology in 2018. According to the company, it was the first to bring a complete app-based 24/7 emergency monitoring system to Apple Watch, iPhone and Android devices in the United States.
Dr. Shea Gregg, president and a founder of FallCall Solutions, said of the new partnership, “We are excited to scale FallCall globally and to offer a completely new electronic personal emergency response system to the growing aging-in-place demographic looking for smarter safety tech throughout the world.”
