The U.S. Navy has given a financial shot in the arm to Competitive Technologies Inc., ordering $600,000 of the Fairfield firm’s pain-management devices to treat wounded soldiers.
Competitive Tech said the 12 Calmare machines will be shipped to nine Navy hospitals and clinics in the U.S. and overseas within the next 30 days.
Earlier in the week, it reported second-quarter losses widened after sales plummeted to $311,000 in the latest quarter from $1.1 million a year ago.
