Former WDRC radio executive Rick Buckley has died, authorities say. He was in his 70s.
Buckley died of a brain embolism Sunday at his Quogue, N. Y. home, Buckley Radio announced Monday.
He led Hartford-based WDRC and its affiliates for four decades, said Joseph M. Bilotta, Buckley Radio’s chief operating officer.
“There is no more impassioned leader of any company than Rick Buckley,” Bilotta said in a letter to employees. “He led the company that bears his name for over four decades and did so in a style and manner that reflected the family nature of his business.”Â
Funeral arrangements are pending.
