Shelton electrical-electronics components maker Hubbell Inc. elected former Carrier executive John F. Malloy, now CEO of Victaulic, was elected to its board, The Associated Press reports.
Malloy 56, is also chairman and president of Easton, Pa.-based Victaulic, which makes pipe couplings, fittings and valves.
Previously, he spent 10 years at United Technologies Corp., where his last post was president of North America for its Carrier Division. Prior to that, Malloy worked for Air Products & Chemicals and taught economics at Hamilton College.
Malloy’s election brings the total number of directors to 10.

Hubbell is a manufacturer of electrical and electronic products for commercial and residential construction, industrial and utility uses.
