SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. named to its board David Varsano, one of its former executives who helped plot a successful course for the Windsor financial software/services provider.
Varsano, now chairman and CEO of Pacific Packaging Products, based in Wilmington, Mass., spent 15 years in the software industry, including at SS&C. Pacific Packaging has facilities throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
Previously, Varsano was vice president of Dun & Bradstreet Software. Before that, Varsano was a consulting manager to software giant Oracle Corp.
“At a time when we are delivering the highest revenues in the ompany’s history and moving at a more rapid pace, David’s expertise will be an asset for SS&C,” CEO and co-founder Bill Stone said.
Varsano is a graduate of the Boston University School of Management, where he majored in management information systems and marketing.
