Ex-Rogers CFO Rutledge is Clean Harbors’ COO

Massachusetts environmental firm Clean Harbors Inc. promoted James Rutledge, a one-time Rogers Corp. executive who is its current vice chairman, chief financial officer and treasurer, to the newly created position of president and chief operating officer, The Associated Press reports.

Rutledge, 60, will remain vice chairman of the Norwell, Mass., environmental cleanup company. Clean Harbors also said that Robert Gagnon, 38, has joined the company and will be its executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.

Rutledge joined Clean Harbors in 2005 and was named vice chairman in 2011. Before working at Clean Harbors, Rutledge served as Rogers’ CFO from 2002 to 2005.

Based in Killingly, Rogers makes technology products.

Gagnon previously was vice president of finance, business planning and chief accounting officer at Biogen Idec Inc. He joined that company in 2005.
