Nancy J. Hutson, a retired senior officer in Pfizer’s Groton global research center and board member of Planned Parenthood of Connecticut, is joining the board of North Carolina drug developer BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc., effective Friday.
Hutson retired from Pfizer as senior vice president after more than 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
BioCryst, based in Research Triangle Park, N.C., is developing small-molecule drugs that block key enzymes involved in infectious disease.
She also sits as a director for Cubist Pharmaceuticals Inc., of Cambridge, Mass., and Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc., of Chadds Ford, Pa.
