Retired Connecticut workers’ compensation commissioner Donald H. “Toby” Doyle Jr. is joining VidaCura Inc. as an adviser to the Farmington online retailer of health and wellness products.
VidaCura direct sells, among other products, custom braces, powered wheelchairs and scooters, surgical woundcare items, and exercise and rehabilitation equipment to the workers’ compensation marketplace.
Doyle also is a former state prosecutor and in-house counsel to the state insurance department.
For 20 years until his retirement, Doyle was a workers’ compensation commissioner, presiding most recently in the Norwich second district office. Â He has a law degree from Quinnipiac University.
He also provides consulting services and performs mediation for personal injury and workers compensation claims through Litigation Alternatives in West Hartford.
