Avon-based Evolution Benefits said today enrollment in its electronic benefit payment services business rose 56 percent in 2008.
Kevin Blank, executive vice-president, said its growth included gaining six accounts from competing card vendors and another 90 accounts, including those from the acquisition of SmartFlex.
Among the new accounts is Sentinel Benefits, Massachusetts’ largest privately owned employee benefits firm, and EBS-RMSCO Inc., of Fairport, N.Y., Blank said.
Blank said Evolution’s account sales will continue to grow, based on industry projections that employees using benefit cards for consumer directed health plans will rise from 15 million members in 2008 to 55 million members in 2012.
