Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., General Electric and Xerox Corp. have been named among the world’s most ethical companies for 2010.
International think-tank Ethisphere Institute will formally announce the winners in the first-quarter issue of its magazine.
It was The Hartford’s third straight year getting the award.
“We work hard to achieve the highest standards of ethical business conduct and to preserve the trust we have earned with our customers, investors, business partners and government officials,” Alan Kreczko, The Hartford’s executive vice president and general counsel, said in a statement Monday.
Other winners include Aflac, American Express, Campbell Soup, Ford Motor Co., Google, L’Oréal, Nike, PepsiCo, Starbucks, T-Mobile USA, UPS, and Whole Foods Market.
Ethisphere bases the award around the advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics, corporate social responsibility, anti-corruption and sustainability.
