A downtown Essex property featuring both residential apartment and retail space recently sold for $1.4 million.
The property at 2-4 Main St., Essex features a 7,390-square-foot building on a .31 acre parcel.
The 2.5-story building has 10 residential apartments and a vacant 1,200-square-foot retail space on the ground floor.
Will Braun of O,R&L Commercial, which has offices in Branford and Rocky Hill, represented the seller, Essex Two LLC and handled both sides of the transaction.
According to O,R&L, the new owner purchased the property as an investment and “plans to fill the retail space with a quality tenant that will add to the town’s charm.”
The buyer is listed as Woodrow Studios LLC, according to the Essex Town Clerk’s office.
