Publicly traded equestrian products retailer Dover Saddlery Retail said it will open its first two stores in Connecticut later this year.
The stores will be in Manchester’s Burr Corners Plaza and in an undisclosed location in Ridgefield.
Based in Massachusetts, Dover has 24 stores mainly concentrated along the East Coast, including New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
“We look forward to becoming part of the equestrian communities in and around Manchester and Ridgefield,” Dover spokeswoman Janet Nittmann said in a statement. “We have had many requests over the years to open Dover Saddlery stores in Connecticut and are delighted to be able to open not one, but two this fall.”
