EPA honors Simsbury water superintendent

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency honored the recently retired superintendent of the Simsbury Water Pollution Control Facilty with its plant operator excellence award.

James Clifton was selected because of his many years operating and maintaining the Simsbury facility, including providing training and data for research projects.

The award was created for New England wastewater professionals who provide important public services above their duties.

The Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection nominated Clifton.
