Ensign-Bickford Industries Inc. in Simsbury announced Monday its acquisition of EnviroLogix Inc., a Portland, Maine, company that performs laboratory safety testing of pet food ingredients.
The purchase by Ensign-Bickford’s EB Analystics Inc. subsidiary was for undisclosed terms.
Ensign-Bickford CEO Caleb White said EnviroLogix’s testing services will complement the growing demand for pet-food ingredients from EB Analytics’ AFB International division.
Privately held Ensign-Bickford also supplies explosives to the aerospace and military markets.
