Enfield manufacturer plans expansion

A local manufacturer is looking to expand his warehouse and distribution center by nearly 14,000 square feet.

Jeffrey S. Mitchell, of Stafford Springs, principal of Top Knot LLC, is the owner of International Configurations, Inc., a plug and wiring manufacturer.

Mitchell applied to the town’s Inland Wetlands Agency for a permit to build a 13,900-square-foot addition onto the existing 28,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center he owns and operates at 210 Moody Road. 

The original warehouse was built in 2008, and sits on 21.2 acres at the intersection of Moody and Taylor roads. 

Plans call for a pre-engineered metal building to go on the west side of the property.

This expansion project was previously approved in the original site development permitting as a future addition.

There will be no increase or change to the hours of operation or number of employees, but five additional parking spaces will be added to meet zoning requirements.
 
Westfield, Mass.-based Sage Engineering and Contracting Inc., will construct the new expanded area.
