Enfield flex industrial building home to IT services company sells for $1.2M

An Enfield flex industrial building that has been home to an IT services company has sold for $1.2 million, according to town land records.

The 16,845-square-foot property at 270 George Washington Road was purchased by Sarmat Properties LLC from 279 Nutmeg Road South LLC, an entity whose principal is Lisa Smith, president and chief financial officer of Enfield-based Nutmeg Technologies.

State business records show Sarmat Properties was formed in May and lists the Enfield property as its principal office. The LLC is managed by David Laporte and Kate Laporte of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and is registered under a business classification for medical, dental and hospital equipment wholesalers.

Nutmeg Technologies, led by Lisa Smith and her husband Jeremy Smith, bought the property for $1.1 million in 2022 and relocated its headquarters there. At the time, the Smiths said the larger building would support the company’s continued growth and provide more collaborative workspace for employees.

Nutmeg Technologies’ plans following the sale were not immediately available. Lisa did not respond to a request for comment.
