The New England Clean Energy Council has named energy management service provider EnerNOC the region’s employer of the year.
EnerNOC is based in Boston but has several Connecticut partners, many of whom participate in its demand response services. When electricity demand is high, demand response companies get paid to power down their systems.
The company was recognized for its community engagement, student internships, competitive employee benefits, and its ability to attract employees.
EnerNOC was founded in 2001 and has 650 full-time employees in five countries.
