Energy Department honors 16 Connecticut contractors

Sixteen Connecticut contractors were recently recognized by the federal Department of Energy as “Century Club Contractors” for their successful completion of more than 100 Home Performance with Energy Star projects in 2011.

The sixteen contractors were part of a national group of just eighty-six contractors receiving Century Club recognition.

“The fact that a significant percentage of all home performance contractors recognized from around the nation were from Connecticut is further proof that our state is taking a leadership role on energy efficiency,” said Dan Esty, commissioner of the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The Connecticut contractors recognized for this prestigious award include Alternative Global Energy; Climate Partners; Competitive Resources, Inc.; Energy PRZ; Energy Resources Group; Green Star Insulation, LLC; Gulick Building and Development, LLC; Handyman Express Energy Solutions LLC; Hoffman Fuel; Lantern Energy, LLC; New England Conservation Services; New England Smart Energy Group; R Pelton Builders, Inc.; Save Home Energy, LLC; Victory Energy Solutions and Wesson Energy, Inc.
