Empire Paving, Inc. has leased a 600-square-foot executive office suite at 765 East Main St. in Branford.
The North Haven-based company provides general contracting services, including working on road and highway projects. The business will use the Branford space as an office for its project engineer.
Terms of the lease were not disclosed. The Geenty Group, Realtors, of Branford represented the parties, with Kevin Geenty serving as agent for the landlord, Captiva LLC, and Kristin Geenty representing the tenant.

Housing starts slow in October
New housing rates were down in October statewide compared to the previous month, according to data compiled by the state Department of Economic and Community Development.
In October, 104 municipalities authorized 428 new housing units. In September, in comparison, 649 new housing permits were issued.
New Haven had 48 new permits in October, with 784 so far this year.
The statewide total was at 4,168 units as of the end of October, compared to 5,097 for all of 2019.
