Emcor to sell UK unit for $255M

Norwalk-based EMCOR Group — a provider of construction, industrial, energy and building services — has agreed to sell its U.K. building services business in a deal valued at about $255 million.
The business, EMCOR Group (UK) plc, will be acquired by OCS Group UK Limited, an international facilities services company. The deal, approved by both companies’ boards, is expected to close by the end of 2025 pending clearance from the U.K.’s National Security and Investment regime.
“With the sale of EMCOR UK, we are accelerating our ‘local execution, national reach’ strategy to further focus our business across our large, diverse and attractive end markets in the United States, where we continue to see significant opportunity,” said Tony Guzzi, EMCOR’s chairman, president and CEO.
He said the company plans to use the proceeds to grow its electrical and mechanical construction and services businesses, including through acquisitions.
