Groton’s Electric Boat said it’s won a $25.7 million contract to provide maintenance and modernization work on the USS Providence.
EB, which is owned by General Dynamics, said the work on the Los-Angeles class attack sub will take place at its shipyard in Groton and will involve 300 employees at the peak of the work.
The work is slated for completion in April.
