Multifamily development proposed in Norwalk

Plans are in the works for an eight-unit multifamily development in Norwalk, according to an application filed with the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission.

35 Chapel LLC, controlled by Brant Behr, of Norwalk, plans to construct the units across three buildings on a 0.31-acre parcel at 35 Chapel St. Behr declined to comment on the proposal, which the commission received on April 7 and will review at a later date.

One building would contain two units, while two other structures would have three units. Each unit would have three bedrooms, and seven of them would have two-car garages.. The proposal, which calls for 11 parking spaces, is consistent with the city’s Wall-West Neighborhood Plan to redevelop the city’s Wall Street area, the application stated.

The applicant is under contract to buy the vacant property, which once contained a residential structure, from Commerce Street LLC, controlled by Donald and Lou Capone, of Norwalk.
