Waterbury tankless water heater manufacturing Eemax on Tuesday announced its acquisition of Miami-based EcoSmart, a brand for residential tankless water heaters.
The acquisition furthers Eemax’s position as the leading solutions provider in water heating, said Kevin Ruppelt, Eemax chief executive.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
EcoSmart will help Eemax grow its customer base and product portfolio, Ruppelt said. Eemax makes commercial, industrial, and residential tankless water heaters.

Waterbury will remain the company’s headquarters while EcoSmart will continue its distribution out of Miami.
