Defense giant General Dynamics, parent of Groton submarine builder Electric Boat, has agreed to acquire a Massachusetts maker of wireless military tactical hardware.
General Dynamics, of Fairfax, Va., will pay an unspecified sum for Fortress Technologies Inc., of Westford, Mass. The deal is due to close in the third quarter.
Fortress, with about 70 employees, will become part of GD’s C4 Systems division that produces secure communications systems for the U.S. military.
