Two eastern Connecticut credit unions that agreed to merge last year have unveiled Waypoint Federal Credit Union as the new name for their combined organization.
Norwich-based CorePlus Federal Credit Union and Scient Federal Credit Union announced the new brand this month as they continue integrating following the merger of equals announced in October 2025.
The combined credit union will serve more than 50,000 members across eastern Connecticut and has approximately $673.5 million in assets.
The Waypoint name, logo and visual identity will begin appearing in late September on the organization's website, digital banking platform and member communications. Branch signage and other materials will be updated over time.
The new brand identity was developed by Norwich-based Miranda Creative.
