East Windsor manufacturer Koma Precision lands private equity investment

East Windsor-based Koma Precision has received a private equity investment aimed at expanding the precision manufacturing company and pursuing potential acquisitions, according to an announcement.

The investment comes from St. Louis-based Compass Group Equity Partners. Financial terms of the deal and Compass’ ownership stake were not disclosed. Koma’s existing owners and management retained a stake in the company and will continue to oversee day-to-day operations, the announcement said.

Founded in 1982, Koma supplies precision machine tool accessories and provides engineering, integration, machine calibration and other services to manufacturers. The company is the exclusive North American importer, distributor and service center for several international machine-tool brands, including Tsudakoma, Alberti, D’Andrea, Teknox and Romai, according to its website.

Koma is headquartered at 20 Thompson Road in East Windsor and also has operations in Indiana.
