A 50-year-old East Berlin-based precision manufacturing company will move production operations to Ohio with the help of a six-figure grant from that state’s tax credit authority.
Adisco Inc. was awarded a six-year, $203,000 tax credit over six years to create jobs in the Dayton area and must maintain operations at the project site for 12 years. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority said the project is expected to create 56 positions – massive growth for the company, which currently employs eight.
A plastics manufacturer with a concentration in analytical and medical device industry, Adisco will conduct manufacturing, administrative and research and development functions at the Ohio site.
Adisco vice president Rich Koczera said the company is looking to move some manufacturing operations in the near term and will maintain sales and IT infrastructure in its current East Berlin office.
“This is part of a long-term expansion plan starting now,” Koczera said.
