Indian engineering and network firm InfoTech Enterprises, which has 655 employees at its U.S. headquarters in East Hartford, has changed its name to Cyient Ltd., it announced.
Cyient provides engineering, export management and corporate data analytics services to major aerospace manufacturers, including Pratt & Whitney, as well as to the utilities, communications and semiconductor industries.
The company said the new name better reflects its vision. The name evokes the terms “client” and “science,” and also contains “-ient” as a nod to the old name, Cyient said.
The company, which has 38 locations around the world, said it tested the new name in 17 languages with the help of global brand agency Wolff Olins.
