E. Hartford to house Sofrito Puerto Rico

East Hartford is throwing open its arms to a new manufacturer: Sofrito Puerto Rico will produce food ingredients at a Bragg Street facility.

Mayor Marcia Leclerc, town Economic Development Director John Choquette and East Hartford Chamber President Ron Pugliese are scheduled to be on hand June 15 at 11 a.m. with owners Yolanda Valdes and Osvaldo

Torres for a ribbon-cutting at 11 Bragg St., authorities said.

Sofrito Puerto Rico manufactures sofrito, an all-natural seasoning and base for cooking used in Spanish & Caribbean cuisine.
