East Hartford precision manufacturer Horst Engineering and Manufacturing has acquired a Massachusetts aerospace manufacturer in order to expand its product offerings.
The acquisition of Sterling Machine of Lynn, Mass. further expands Horst’s reach into the commercial and military jet engine segment by providing new parts for aerospace companies, on top of Horst’s work for the medical and high technology industries.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Sterling had been a family-owned operation since its founding in 1966.
With the acquisition, Horst adds 33 employees from Lynn on top of the 120 employees at its facilities in East Hartford and Guaymas, Mexico.
